Maya Rogers is President and CEO of Blue Planet Software, the sole agent for the Tetris® brand. With a history that spans more than 30 years, Tetris is one of the leading and most distinctive video game brands and franchises in the world. Rogers has spent the last eight years leading the Tetris brand’s worldwide business initiatives, and has more than 12 years of experience in the video game industry in Japan, China and the U.S. Prior to Tetris, Rogers steered cross culturalization and development efforts with Sony Computer Entertainment America and American Honda.

In 2012, Rogers co-founded Blue Startups, Hawaii’s first venture accelerator that helps early stage startups with investments and mentoring. Forty companies have gone through the Blue Startups program and have attracted approximately $25 million in follow-in funding to date. In 2015, Blue Startups placed #17 in TechCrunch’s annual ranking of top US accelerators. Rogers also is a Partner of the investment arm, Blue Ventures.

Rogers is a board member with the American Red Cross Hawaii Chapter, and is a national council member of the Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders. Rogers also serves as an advisory board member of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, a national resource for discovering the consequence and complexity of the Asian Pacific American experience – and a creative leader in rethinking museums in the digital age. She is also actively involved in eGlobal Family, an organization that links orphaned and vulnerable children in developing countries to compassionate and responsible supporters.

In March 2015, Rogers was awarded “20 for the Next 20” recognition by Hawaii Business Magazine as one of 20 emerging leaders who have made major contributions to the state of Hawaii.

Rogers, a Dutch national, grew up in Japan and the US, and currently resides in Hawaii. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
