Russell Ladson is the co-founder and CEO of Drop Software Inc. (“Drop”), an artificial intelligence startup. Before his decision to focus full time on Drop, he spent his postgraduate years as an investment banking analyst at two leading Wall Street firms – Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Rice Financial Products Company. As an analyst in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Public Finance group, he provided analytical and quantitative support on almost $2 billion in senior managed transactions for infrastructure and municipal clients throughout the United States. After being recruited by the CEO of Rice Financial Products Company, he joined the firm’s growing investment banking practice – supporting both relationship bankers and senior management in deal execution and strategic business development. After a close call with mortality in a near fatal accident, he finally understood the sanctity of life and doing what one loves. His obsession with art, technology, and culture led to his decision to forego a 3rd year as an analyst and co-found Drop. He had a vision to lead a company where artists, engineers, and product designers eagerly come to work to create a world that none of us have seen. With his strong affinity for designing beautiful technology products that will improve our lives, he and his team are building someone who knows you better than you know yourself. When he is not leading his team or jumping at the opportunity to travel, he is more than likely in the boxing ring, practicing vinyasa yoga, or scouting the city for new grub spots. He has been featured in the New York Times and HBCU Digest. He graduated from Morehouse College with a B.A. in Economics
